My professional life is about people, and I love utilizing my education and experience to help others. I enjoy connecting with my patients and their families and helping them attain beautiful smiles. Having my own children gives me particular insight into patients of these ages. Each treatment I provide is designed with their needs in mind. I have been honored to treat multiple children within a single family, and my patients often refer me to their neighbors and friends. That is truly the highest compliment my patients could give!
Education and Continuing Education
Prior to becoming an orthodontist, I received my Bachelor Degree in Political Science with a Natural Science minor from State University of New York at Plattsburgh. I then went on to complete the Master’s Program and Teaching Fellowship in Human Physiology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Hackensack, NJ. I attained my Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) from University of Puerto Rico School Of Dentistry and Health Sciences, San Juan, and my Master’s Degree (MS) in Orthodontics from New York University School of Dentistry Department of Orthodontics and Cranial-Facial Biology.
I know how vitally important it is for me to stay on top of the most advanced proved orthodontic methods. New techniques and advanced materials are always being developed that can have import to my patients’ needs. As a part of my continuing education, I belong to several professional organizations and have been a guest speaker covering different topics in my field of expertise.
Aside from orthodontics, I also take advanced studies in general dentistry, as many cases that I treat involve different aspects of restoration and rehabilitation of the oral cavity. In many instances, orthodontics requires a team approach by different disciplines in order to achieve the best results for our patients.

In the Practice
I started practicing in 1983, and am proud to say that orthodontics is my life's work. When parents and patients entrust their smile to me, I am a perfectionist in my work. I make a commitment to get the best possible outcomes for my patients. I have a wonderful staff that has seen no turnover since I came to New Jersey in 1996. They themselves are parents, and are particularly understanding with our patients. “TEAM” is too small a word to describe our practice. Each patient is like family, and we provide them with the highest quality and most advanced care possible.
Orthodontics is much more than just science. By connecting with my patients, I gain their trust, and treatment is made much easier for both them and myself. I enjoy getting to know each person who comes in, and watching our young patients grow and mature over the course of treatment.
I am originally from Brooklyn, and love living in Randolph. My lovely wife Madeline and I have three children: Matthew, Simone, and Anna-Lise. We also have a Labrador named Harley!
When I am not in the practice, I love to read, especially news, politics, and history. I also enjoy Broadway theater, concerts, jogging, skiing, riding motorcycles, and fixing cars. Of course, my favorite pastime is hanging around the yard chasing the kids. Being a dad isn't always leisurely, but it sure is fun!
